Call them, and their hours are on Google. Just look up San Dong Express.
This is kind of a jerk response.. but If you're worried about calories... dont eat at Chinese style restaurants.
I really enjoy this place. I have been coming here for over 20 years. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that I like my food very hot and spicy. Every time I ask them for their hot sauce, they give me a hard time. They never want to give up their hot sauce. I would like three containers of hot sauce per meal and they only want to give me one. I don't understand why I have to beg for a condiment??? That alone keeps me from coming here more often.
Food is always worth the trip across town.
We are so happy that I could go and see the great chefs there, and also the fantastic food they continuous amazing food we get all the time without fail! Thank You San Dong on E. Layton Ave
The chicken curry and Mongolian beef were great. Stay away from the sweet and sour chicken / pork. Both were taken from a refrigerator and warmed up with the sweet and sour sauce poured over the top. I actually watched the cooks take it from a hotel pan in the fridge.
Chef is definitely not a Chines... LOL.
Very very good. Love the workers!
A place that I've been going to for over 20 years. It's the best place to get Korean style Chinese food in Wisconsin. Sure there are better places in Chicagoland but the jjambong tastes more like the ones that are sold in Korea than anywhere else in the midwest. 짬뽕 한국 중식집 느낌임.
My boyfriend and I ordered from here and it was absolutely delicious. First time too. My children ate the beef broccoli which they enjoye . I ate the Orange Beef Hot which was delicious and super hot which I loved. My boyfriend ordered Mings Beef and he said it was delicious too. Their potstickers are delicious and so are the spring rolls. I highly recommend this place!
San Dong is great when you order off their homemade noodle menu. Definitely worth checking out. Their normal Chinese dishes are good, but their noodle dishes are amazing!
authentic korean chinese!
First time here. I have been driving past this place for years finally went and it was very good, And the worker was very nice. It was also very clean inside. Resonable prices and serving size was good. Will be back.
Fast service. Food was good. Not sure how to say it.... food presentation seemed non- Chinese and very premade? Not sure
Great little family restaurant. Both owners as well as the staff are very cordial and friendly. We love the food. They always make it fresh right in front of you, the portions are huge and the taste is always the same.
Ordered about $20 worth of food for pickup and as I ordered the the last item he hung up on me. He called me back 5 minutes later and asked if I wanted the food or not. I said why did you hang up on me? He just kept repeating the order over and over again... GOOD LUCK
Great value for food!
Food was TERRIBLE period! Would've given ZERO stars if I could! You've been warned!"Fried rice" had zero flavor. All my chicken entrees tasted freezer burnt and over fried or several pieces just missing chicken completely! These pics were taken minutes after I received my order. Asian male taking my order was not very friendly. I will never return to this restaurant. Unless it closes down and becomes a different one.Wasted money! 💸💸💸💸
Always good. Been going here for over 26 years
Generous portions and very good cooks just not in the traditional korean flavor or ingredients. Still all in all a good place to eat and provides good value
Definitely worth a 3-hour long round trip from madtown, if you are in the mood for nostalgic korean chinese cuisine. I am not sure how profitable it would be to maintain these k-style chinese foods in the menu, provided that many "americans" may not be familiar with them. My only guess is the owner does so, on the voluntarily basis, for occasional korean customers who are craving for the authentic korean chinese foods. 사장님 건강하세요!
Crab rangoon were delicious! The cooks were fast and we enjoyed our meals. Snow white chicken and Mongolian beef.
Food is great, staff is friendly. We have tried other Asian restaurants in the area. We continue to come back to San Dong.
Everything we had was delicious. The pot stickers were amazing and unlike any I've previously had. The black bean sauce on the homemade noodle dish was complex and perfectly umami. The Mongolian beef was great, and my daughter was in love with the Shrimp Lo Mein. My whole family was praising the food. We will definitely go back again and again.
Always authentic quality food. The head chef/cook may be Hispanic but he was taught by the Korean owners and been there for over a decade.
No frills decor, but service and food have been consistently spot on for well over 10+ years
they treat me so well there i love the food
The food here is delicious and the staff are always friendly.
Very good value. Love the Korean-Chinese food.
The worse service ever. The guy was mad because I was asking about the soups. I think he needs to get a different job.. Maybe one without costumers.
Haven’t been there since they started up big disappointment since that time ordered shrimp fried rice dinner size was plenty of fried rice but no shrimp to speak of 6 pieces of large shrimp in a quart size container very disappointed in this order never again
